*Jul 23, 2016  SOLVED: Found option to disable USB legacy devices in BIOS. Disabled it and Win 10 will now boot with USB devices plugged in. Also a Windows 10 boot and install problem workaround as follows: The master boot drive would not install windows 10 running off the sata port (Same drive with win 7 home installed).
*I came across a 1GB drive that I could set the allocation size to 16K, 32K or 64K. The 2960x in rommon would recognize and boot off of the USB with 16K or 32K clusters, but not 64K. When you format your USB drive, if you only have the option of using 64K clusters, it will not work in rommon.

Jan 16, 2019 In that case, you will need to find another USB drive and go to Microsoft’s download page for the Windows 10 ISO and use burn Windows ISO to USB. USB Boot Not Available: If the bootable USB still doesn’t appear in BIOS, it’s possible that the computer doesn’t support a USB boot. If you are 100% sure that the USB is bootable, then this is likely. No boot sector on USB device. No boot sector on USB device. Boot partition not found. Boot partition not found. No bootable device-strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility. Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics. I really need my laptop, so any response would be greatly appreciated! In the meantime, i’m going to try redoing it. MBR stands for Master Boot Record. It’s that sector of the hard disk which contains all the information of the partitions. It also acts as a loader for Windows operating system. Reboot and select proper boot device. If it is not available then you may download Windows 10 ISO and make a bootable USB. Boot with USB.No Boot Sector On Usb Device ManagerI’ve got a USB flask drive that I can’t seem to boot from. I thought it might be a unetbootin problem (I’ve occasionally had problems booting from flash drives after using unetbootin) but then I used dd to install the iso file and I get the quick message ’No boot sector on USB device’ before the computer jumps right to booting form the HD. The drive works fine as a data storage device. All the files are visible and readable, I just can’t boot from it.
Usb Devices On ComputerI think it’s a formatting problem with this flash drive. I’ve formatted this drive several times. Do I need to leave some blocks empty at the beginning of the drive? Any thoughts?
